Simple Syrup

Beginner

Easy peasy, all you need is some sugar and water to make this staple cocktail sweetener.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water

Equipment

  • Sauce pan

Method

  • Add sugar and water to a small saucepan (over medium heat)
  • Stir until the sugar is totally dissolved
  • Let it cool in the pan then pour it into a glass jar and seal it tightly with a lid
  • *Simple syrup will keep for about one month if refrigerated
